Unit-linked life insurance products are complex, often intransparent and difficult for customers to understand.

In the past, we have analyzed a multitude of life insurance products which, due to their risk and/or cost structure, were flawed and not suitable for customers needs. Even if the funds underlying the life insurance policy generated profits (which would be expected due to the constant upward movement of the capital markets), these profits were not passed on to the policyholder because profits were eaten up by considerable cost of the products and its management. In addition, in many cases withdrawal instructions were incorrect and customers were therefore unaware of their rights to withdraw from and cancel life insurance policies.

If your unit-linked life insurance policy has not performed as promised, it could therefore not only be due to general market developments – which was not so bad in the past on the capital market – but rather to one or more of the above-mentioned issues.

We have extensive experience in the area of unit-linked life insurance policies and would be happy to advise you on your legal options.
